Crystal Palace are interested in signing Bolton goalkeeper Remi Matthews this summer, although they haven’t yet made a bid, as claimed by reports earlier today.
Football Insider claimed earlier today in an exclusive report that the Eagles had had an initial offer for the former Norwich shot-stopper rejected, however The Bolton News claim that Palace’s contact with the the Trotters currently has only gone as far as an enquiry.
Twitter: No official bid from Palace for Remi Matthews – but definite interest. Will be interesting to see which way this on… https://t.co/aXIv3Bsf4b (@MarcIles)

Matthews only joined Bolton permanently in January, but the club’s financial circumstances have made the 25-year old’s future unclear at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Matthews would look to compete with Wayne Hennessey and Vicente Guaita at Selhurst Park, should Roy Hodgson push ahead to sign the goalkeeper, with long-standing club stalwart Julian Speroni having departed the club at the end of last season.
