Crystal Palace are reportedly in the race to sign LOSC Lille captain Adama Soumaoro this summer.

According to claims from French news outlet La Voix du Nord, the Eagles are keen to land the central defender, who turned in numerous impressive displays throughout last season.

Lille enjoyed a strong campaign domestically. They finished second on the Ligue 1 table, and Soumaoro formed a resolute partnership at the back alongside former Crystal Palace star Jose Fonte.

However, this summer, it seems as though the Frenchman could be on his way to the Premier League, with speculation surrounding a transfer building.

Palace are believed to be negotiating with Soumaoro’s entourage as they plot to bring him to Selhurst Park this summer, and there is a chance that they will be able to secure him in a cut-price deal.

The 27-year-old is, as per the report, valued at somewhere between €12-15 million, indicating that he would be an affordable target for Roy Hodgson’s side.

Everton and Lazio are two clubs who have also been touted as possible destinations for Soumaoro by La Voix du Nord.
