Crystal Palace fans react as Roy Hodgson gives injury update ahead of Villa

Roy Hodgson has delivered an injury update ahead of Palace’s clash with Aston Villa, and he has revealed some good news.

Mamadou Sakho was not mentioned his in his injury update, which could mean that the defender is in line to play this weekend against Aston Villa.

Several Palace fans are excited that the Frenchman could be returning, after being absent with a knee injury as of late.

Joel is very excited that Sakho could be back in the fold.

Sakho being potentially available is very good news for many Palace thanks, including Ethan.

@CPFC_NEWS_HQ is loving the news from Roy Hodgson’s press conference.

However, Jason was less enthused, thinking that Tomkins and Sakho won’t be available until October.

Sakho will be a huge boost to Palace when he returns, but it is unlikely that he comes straight back into the team against Villa.

Roy Hodgson certainly won’t want to risk Sakho again, after losing him for the early stages of the season so far.

With Scott Dann and James Tomkins both out injured also, Palace will be hoping for no further injuries as they look to secure their first home win of the season against Aston Villa.
