Palace fans react to news Rojo move collapsed in transfer window

Crystal Palace had a late move for Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo collapse, and some Palace fans are delighted that this move failed.

Reports suggested that the defender had a move blocked at the end of the window to join Palace or Everton, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deciding to keep the Argentine at the club.

Rojo, who has struggled for much first-team action over the past year, looks like he wants to leave, and could depart Old Trafford as soon as January.

Some Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to the news on social media, with many happy that the Eagles did not make a move for Rojo in the end.

Joel reckons that Palace did better with who they brought in anyway.

Christian reckons Rojo could’ve been the left-back that Palace really could do with.

Mike reckons that Palace have dodged a bullet by not signing Rojo.

@Mikeyp1981 was also relieved by the news that Palace did not sign Rojo.

If Rojo could’ve been signed on loan or on a cheap deal, then I don’t think it would have been that bad of a deal for Palace.

They need depth at full-back and could do with a player of Rojo’s ilk to fill the gaps.

However, he has struggled with injury and consistency since moving to Manchester United, so it could be a risk that Palace simply aren’t ready to take.
