Manuel Pellegrini hands Palace injury boost with Fabianski set to miss clas

Manuel Pellegrini has handed Crystal Palace a huge injury boost ahead of Saturday’s clash, with Lukasz Fabianski out injured for West Ham.

The Hammers boss confirmed that the Pole will be out for over three months after picking up an injury against Bournemouth last week.

Pellegrini said, via Football London:

About Lukasz, the medical staff will decide today or tomorrow if he will have surgery or if he will recover without surgery.

Either way, it will be less than three months he is out.

For the moment, we have Roberto as goalkeeper and I trust a lot in him. I am confident he will have good performance. We also have David Martin, who has good experience.

This is obviously a big boost for Palace, as Fabianski is one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League.

However, the Hammers have done well to get in a good backup in Roberto, with the Spaniard having a lot of experience in La Liga.

This won’t be a huge downgrade, but the Eagles will still be hoping to take advantage of the fact West Ham will be down one of their key players in the matchup.

matchday.
