Palace target Campbell could move abroad amid Leipzig interest

RB Leipzig, Wolves and Bournemouth have joined the likes of Crystal Palace, Rangers and Celtic in the race to sign Tyrese Campbell from Stoke.

According to talkSPORT, the young striker could be moved on this month with Stoke facing the prospect of losing the player for nothing in the summer.

Earlier this month The Independent claimed that Palace, Celtic and Rangers were interested in the striker.

However, amid interest from RB Leipzig, talkSPORT say the player is open to a move abroad.

The rising interest in Campbell could be viewed as bad news for Palace if they are serious about bringing the player in this month.

The report claims that Campbell could be tempted to follow the rising trend of young English footballers moving abroad and few could blame him for doing so. TalkSPORT add that he wants to be playing regularly, something that simply may not be guranteed in the Premier League.

At the age of 20, Campbell is a player that could be considered as somebody who could compete at first-team level, having scored four times in six starts for a struggling Stoke side this season, as per WhoScored.

With his contract at Stoke coming to an end in the summer, it’s possible that they’ll let him leave for a small fee this month and it could be a great piece of business for Palace to get a deal done, providing they can convince him into a move.
