Aston Villa have scouted Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth, according to a report on Turkish Football.
The Norway international is currently on a two-season loan deal at Super Lig side Trabzonspor.
Sorloth has been in prolific goalscoring form so far this season, finding the back of the net 21 times in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
As stated in the report, Aston Villa are only one of the Premier League clubs who have been keeping an eye on him, with Leicester City and Brighton also watching him closely.

Palace failed to include a recall clause in Sorloth’s loan deal, meaning he can’t return to Selhurst Park in the summer, which we feel is slightly disappointing because he seems to have rediscovered his form.
Furthermore, Trabzonspor have the option to buy the forward on a permanent basis for around €6m, which we believe is a bargain price for a player who is scoring with such regularity.
Admittedly, Sorloth did fail to prove himself in England, but with the Eagles struggling to find the net consistently, we feel he may have been a good option to have in the squad for next season because of his high confidence in front of goal at the moment.
Villa are pretty short on strikers at the moment and Sorloth is in the form of his life, but because of his loan agreement with Trabzonspor, we believe it will be too hard for Dean Smith’s side to secure a deal.
