Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson wanted four new signings in the January transfer window, according to a report on the Evening Standard.
The Eagles only secured the signature of two players last month. Cenk Tosun arrived on loan from fellow Premier League side Everton, whilst teenager Scott Banks also joined the club from Dundee United before leaving on loan until the end of the season.
Hodgson has made it clear that he felt the recent transfer window was a failure for Crystal Palace, as reported on The Telegraph.
He is eager to get assurances of better transfer dealings in the summer window before committing his future to the club.

The Eagles have been struggling with numerous injuries during the last couple of months so we believe that Hodgson’s plan to bring in four new faces was completely justified.
The club reportedly came close to completing the signing of defender Nathan Ferguson but that broke down after an issue during the player’s medical, whilst Jarrod Bowen decided to join West Ham United, so we feel there was also an element of fortune missing for the club.
Bringing in four new players certainly would have provided Hodgson with more squad depth for the rest of the season and we believe that if the club want to progress in the next few seasons, then the board need to back the manager’s transfer plans.
