- Supercomputer casts prediction for Palace vs Everton
- Palace seeking first win in ten meetings
- Everton the side to play for
Crystal Palace host Everton at Selhurst Park on Matchday 36 of the 2025/26 Premier League Season, the game kicking off at 14:00 on Sunday [10th May]. Everton remain in the hunt for the European places, but their form has stumbled over the last few games.
Palace go into the game with spirits high, after a monumental evening at Selhurst Park saw Oliver Glasner’s side reach the final of the Europa Conference League in the club’s first ever European campaign.
In the Premier League, it looks as if Palace are unlikely to finish in the top ten, and will likely adjust their focus back to the Conference League final in the next week or so, as that date in Leipzig edges closer.

Supercomputer predicts
Opta’s supercomputer has cast its prediction on the game, and has quite shockingly predicted a home win for Palace.
Palace haven’t beaten Everton once in their last ten attempts, with the Toffees winning seven times and earning the reputation as somewhat of a bogey team for Palace.
Palace’s last win against Everton came in the FA Cup back in 2022 when Frank Lampard was the manager, the year Palace reached the semi final and lost to Chelsea.
Everton became the first team in Premier League history to concede a result-altering goal scored in the 90th minute or later in three consecutive games.
The supercomputer has Palace’s chances of victory at 42.6%, with the likelihood of the Toffees winning sitting around the 30% range.
Outside of the Everton dominance in the last ten meetings, there have been three draws, and the supercomputer has predicted a 26.7% chance of a draw being the outcome of today’s game.
Palace’s priorities may impact result
Of course, as powerful as the supercomputer is, it will not be considering the background and realities that each team finds themselves in. For Everton, David Moyes’ side are still well in the race for European football.
They currently find themselves five points behind Brighton in 7th, and will close that gap to just two points with a win at Selhurst Park.
For Palace, the only way they can qualify for European football via the Premier League is if they win all four of their remaining games.
With a final against Rayo Vallecano on the horizon and just three days after the final Premier League game against Arsenal, it’s unlikely that Glasner’s focus will even be half dedicated to that game, with all eyes on a final which would guarantee Europa League football.
A first league win against Everton since December 2021 would be the reward should Palace emerge victorious, but it will be unlikely to impact their final league positioning.
