Crystal Palace have confirmed the departure of forward Kelly Brady while tying goalkeeper Shae Yañez and defender Hayley Nolan down to new contracts, as the club’s off-season squad business continues across the men’s and women’s sides.
According to a fresh update from the club’s official website, Brady has left Selhurst Park following Palace Women’s promotion back to the Barclays Women’s Super League, with the 24-year-old American forward’s next move yet to be confirmed. The news was also carried by specialist outlet WSL Full-Time, which reported the switch on Tuesday evening.
Yañez And Nolan Commit Futures Until 2028 As Palace Build For WSL Return
Brady joined Palace from Athlone Town in the League of Ireland during the January transfer window on an 18-month deal, and made two substitute appearances during the run-in, including in the 6-1 final-day win over Portsmouth that sealed automatic promotion. Her exit leaves Jo Potter’s forward line a little lighter as pre-season preparations continue.
The other side of the ledger is more settled. Goalkeeper Shae Yañez, ever-present in Barclays WSL2 last season after joining from Bristol City in 2024, has signed a new deal running to the summer of 2028. Republic of Ireland international Hayley Nolan, who arrived from London City Lionesses in 2023 and made 15 league appearances last term, has committed to the same timeframe.
The pair join Ashleigh Weerden, whose own contract extension was confirmed earlier in the week, in signalling the spine of Potter’s promotion-winning squad is being kept together as Palace prepare for a second crack at the top flight.
With the transfer window still shaping the men’s squad under Pierre Sage, the women’s side’s business looks considerably further along, with Potter’s group now largely locked in ahead of the WSL opener.
