Five Crystal Palace academy players sign professional deals

Crystal Palace have confirmed that Euan Danaher, Sean Somade, David Angibeaud, Marcus Hill and Jasper Judd have signed their first professional contracts.

The five academy players had all been offered new terms following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Palace confirmed those offers in their retained list last month, with Danaher, Somade, Angibeaud, Hill and Judd among the scholars invited to continue their development in south London. The quintet have now formally committed their futures to the Eagles.

Their agreements arrive after an impressive season for Palace’s youth setup, which included a run to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals and success in the Under-17 Premier League Cup.

Palace continue to protect academy pathway

The deals provide each player with an opportunity to progress towards Under-21 football and, eventually, Pierre Sage’s senior squad.

Danaher and Hill operate in midfield, while Somade and Judd have featured in defensive roles. Angibeaud offers another attacking option after representing the Under-18s last season.

Palace have placed greater emphasis on securing their leading academy talent following several senior breakthroughs during the previous campaign.

Joél Drakes-Thomas also signed his first professional deal earlier this month after becoming Palace’s youngest-ever Premier League player. As Read Crystal Palace examined, his progress has provided a clear example of the route available from the academy into Sage’s first-team plans.

The five new professionals will now begin pre-season with Palace’s development sides as they look to earn regular minutes during the 2026/27 campaign.
