Ismaïla Sarr has taken matters into his own hands at Crystal Palace, according to reports downing tools in a desperate bid to force a transfer to Galatasaray before the summer window closes.
The 28-year-old Senegal international missed Palace’s 2-0 Premier League defeat at Everton after refusing to train in the lead-up to the fixture. Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük confirms Sarr extended his strike into Monday, absenting himself from training ground duties as he attempts to sever ties with the South London club
Sarr has set his sights firmly on the Süper Lig champions, who hold genuine ambition to secure his signature for their domestic defense and European campaign. However, Palace officials refuse to hand over their talisman without a fight, leaving both clubs locked in tense negotiations.
Valuation Gap Prevents Immediate Agreement
Galatasaray have already tabled a concrete €40m proposal to bring the fast-paced winger to Istanbul. Palace, who have tied Sarr to a contract running through to June 2029, hold out for a fee between €55m and €60m.
Reporting for Haber Sarı Kırmızı, journalist Kaya Temel underlines the exact financial divide stalling the deal:
“There is a €10m difference between Galatasaray and Crystal Palace regarding the Ismaïla Sarr transfer. Crystal Palace expects a transfer fee of €55-60m. Galatasaray want to divide the transfer fee into instalments this is the first priority. Galatasaray is considering an average of four to five instalments.”
Palace’s hierarchy must now decide whether to hold firm to their valuation or yield under the weight of the player’s training strike.

Severe Blow to Pierre Sage’s Tactical Blueprint
Losing Sarr creates an immediate crisis for Palace manager Pierre Sage. The Senegalese forward delivered an exceptional 2025/26 campaign, striking 21 goals and registering two assists across 45 appearances while powering Palace to UEFA Conference League glory.
With Sarr actively forcing his exit, Palace run out of time to find a replacement capable of replacing his raw speed and goal conversion. The ball remains in Galatasaray’s court to close that €10m gap before deadline day.
