Palace Drop New Numbers
Crystal Palace rolled out their squad numbers for the new 2026/27 campaign a few weeks before the campaign began, and they managed to spark plenty of chatter among supporters.
Selhurst Park chiefs chose a rather unconventional way to drop the details, leaving fans to piece together the puzzle on social media before the official club announcement landed.
The club confirmed the final pieces of their summer business, locking in shirts for a busy raft of arrivals as the squad gears up for a testing Premier League trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
Gozo Takes the Twelve
Zavier Gozo stepped up to claim the number 12 shirt for his debut season in South London.
The USA international inherits a jersey previously carried by teammates Daniel Muñoz and Will Hughes, not to mention Palace cult hero Julián Speroni during the mid-2000s.
Gozo never wore 12 at club level previously, having rocked the number 72 during his days with Real Salt Lake City.
Fellow newcomer Anan Khalaili grabbed the number 25 shirt for his maiden campaign at Selhurst Park.
Ben Chilwell wore that exact number during his loan stint back in the 2024-25 season, while Ebere Eze famously donned 25 when he first arrived at the club.
Palace made several other internal adjustments before the window slammed shut.
Jaydee Canvot traded in his old digits for the number 6 shirt vacated by England star Marc Guéhi earlier in the summer.
Chadi Riad switched things up too, ditching his old 34 jersey to take over the number 4 spot at the heart of the defence.
The rest of the summer arrivals found their respective homes in the dressing room. Dwight McNeil claimed the number 11 shirt, Evann Guessand took number 29, Spain international Óscar Mingueza settled on number 30, and defender Takehiro Tomiyasu grabbed number 17.
These final additions completed the puzzle for Sage, giving the Eagles a settled squad look just in time for their trip to face Fulham.
