Brighton Injury update ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Brighton have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace, but Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed that four players remain unavailable for this weekend.

The Seagulls welcome Crystal Palace on Sunday after beating Kauno Zalgiris 4-0 on Thursday. Fabian Hurzeler shared the latest Brighton injury update during his pre-match press conference on Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer, Kaoru Mitoma and Pascal Struijk.

“They’re not available for this weekend, but the games after they might be an option. With Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer we could see quite a quick return,” Hurzeler said.

On Mitoma, the Brighton boss added: “For Kaoru Mitoma, I hope he’s back for the international break, but we have to be more patient.”

Hurzeler also confirmed that Struijk would have another day to recover before a decision was made on his availability.

Brighton face Crystal Palace in fine form

Brighton will be looking to win four consecutive Premier League games for only the second time. They have also found goals from across the squad, with 10 different players scoring in the league this season, more than any other side.

However, Crystal Palace have been a difficult opponent. Brighton have lost their last two home league meetings with Palace and have never suffered three consecutive home league defeats against their rivals.

Palace have also won three of their last four Premier League games against Brighton, drawing the other.

Pascal Gross is another player to watch, having contributed to seven goals in his last five Premier League appearances for Brighton, with three goals and four assists. He has also assisted in each of his last three league outings.
