Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Lee Chung-Yong from Bolton Wanderers on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The South Korean international was one of the highest earners at the Macron Stadium and was out of contract at the club at the end of the season, enabling him to leave on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old featured in the Asia Cup where Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak is currently playing for Australia but the winger was injured in South Korea’s opening win against Oman where he fractured his shin; the winger is only expected to be out for up to two weeks with his current manager Lennon describing it as a “minuscule hairline fracture which will heal very, very quickly.”
