Injury Update: Who’ll be fit for the Aston Villa clash?

Crystal Palace have been without several key first-team players for a number of weeks now, and return dates for many are starting to edge closer.

With just 10 minutes remaining of the 1-2 win over Southampton in the FA Cup on Saturday, French international Yohan Cabaye was taken off with what Palace assistant manager Keith Millen confirmed as a ‘small issue.’

Cabaye got a little knock and there’s a couple of others. But he should be okay for tomorrow. They’ll be travelling.

Millen, who has stepped in as temporary boss when needed, also confirmed that Dwight Gayle won’t make it for the Villa clash, alongside highly-talented DR Congo international winger, Yannick Bolasie.

Connor Wickham has brought an end to his spell on the sidelines, but match fitness is the only worry for the former Sunderland striker. That being said, he’ll probably make the bench for Wednesday’s fixture, with a start coming a few days too soon.

Wickham is back in training but not match fit. Wickham’s trained, but has had no match time. He’s over his injury. He will be in the squad. He’ll train today.

Don’t worry Eagles, it won’t be long until our team is back to full strength and the real push for a European spot can commence.
