Palace star involved in car accident

Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie has been involved in a car accident according to manager Alan Pardew.

The winger has reportedly sustained whiplash injuries from the crash.

The DR Congo forward was already absent from action thanks to a hip problem, but Pardew is hopeful he’ll return before the end of February.

Speaking on Bolasie and the accident, Pardew said:

He was involved in a minor car accident this week, so he has a bit of whiplash at the moment. So other than that, he’s been in the wars, our man. The injury is longer than we thought now – it’s like late February. There has been no re-injury or anything like that. It’s a ligament injury so circulation is slow.

Pardew will be hoping for his star winger to return as soon as possible as the Eagles look to further cement their good first half of the season.

His side have lost 3 of the last 4 in all competitions, scoring no goals in the process. Bolasie only has four goals this season – hardly prolific – but Pardew will also be missing his creativity to help the club’s goalscoring record.
