Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on bringing former Chelsea and Newcastle United striker Demba Ba back to the Premier League.
According to the Chronicle Live, Pardew is targeting a host of former and current Newcastle stars to bolster his squad for next season.
Ba is one of the key targets for Pardew, whose Crystal Palace side lacked goals throughout the 2015/16 season.
The Senegalese striker currently plays his football out in China for Shanghai Shenua, which means matching his wages could be a stumbling point for Palace.
Pardew worked with Ba at St. James’ Park before he left for Chelsea.
Since leaving Newcastle, he had a short spell with London rivals Chelsea. He then made the move to Besiktas before moving to China in 2015, where he signed a three-year contract.
At the age of 30, Ba would add experience to the current squad at Selhurst Park, and would hopefully provide the goal threat that Pardew is desparately seeking.
