West Ham defender James Tomkins has completed his move to Crystal Palace.
Jack Sullivan took to twitter to confirm the news.
Twitter: Tomkins has left the club, I personally wish him all the best and am sure he will do a good job at @CPFC ! (@jsullivanwhu)
The reported fee that Palace have paid is said to be around £12.5million, but that is yet to be confirmed.
Tomkins made 32 appearances last season, the majority of which came in the Premier League, and helped guide the Hammers to seventh in the table.
Primarily used a right back last season, the defender showed his versatility, but he is a centre-back by trait, and that is likely to be the position he’ll be deployed in for Palace, meaning Scott Dann and Damien Delaney finally have some real competition for places.
Tomkins left West Ham as he was looking for regular first-team action, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can get that at Selhurst Park, and if he does, at the expense of who.
