Striker agrees terms ahead of Palace switch

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace ahead of a big-money move to Selhurst Park this summer.

According to Ed Malyon of the Mirror, Benteke is keen on the move to Palace and the only hold up now is the negotiations regarding the transfer fee between Liverpool and the Eagles.

The Reds seemingly want to make back the £32million that they paid to Aston Villa last summer in order to sign Benteke, although Palace, obviously, want to get the cheapest deal possible.

However, it looks like those negotiations won’t go on much longer and it seems just a matter of time before Benteke becomes the highest paid player in Crystal Palace’s long, illustrious history.

Palace have made it clear that they are in the market for a new striker, having made a bid for Benteke’s international teammate Michy Batshuayi, but after he decided to join Chelsea, it looks like Palace will be happy to take Benteke.
