Aston Villa reported to have made bid for Mile Jedinak

Talksport journalist Callum Williams has reported that Aston Villa have made a bid for Palace and Australia midfielder Mile Jedinak.

It was announced on Monday that Scott Dann would replace the 32-year-old as the new club captain. Now it looks like the holding midfielder for a move away from Selhurst Park with Aston Villa interested.

The midlands club are attempting to be promoted straight back into the Premier League this season and Williams predicts that Jedinak is one of three players that the club have bid for.

He has been at the club since 2011 and was given the Captain’s armband for the first time a year after arriving at the club.

Crystal Palace have strength in numbers with the likes of Yohan Cabaye, Joe Ledley, Jonny Williams, Jordan Mutch and James McCarthur also competing with the former skipper in the squad.
