Having failed to get a deal completed in the summer, Crystal Palace will rekindle their interest in midfielder Lucas Lima when the January transfer window re-opens, according to reports.
Palace tried to bring the the 26-year-old in during the off season and even made a late deadline day push for him, but the Brazilian reportedly chose to wait to see if any other options became available, particularly from a side playing European football.

Chinese Super League side Hebei Fortune are also keen to sign Lima and they’d undoubtedly be able to pay him a higher salary, but he might choose to move to Palace to put himself in the shop window of the Premier League.
Santos, Lima’s current side, are trying to tie him down to a new contract and perhaps buy some more of his rights from his third party owners, but there is no sign that they’ll be able to do that any time soon.
