Former Juventus defender and free agent Martin Caceres is considering a move to Crystal Palace or Southampton
As reported by Calcio Mercato, the defender has rejected moves to both AC Milan and West Ham after talks broke down between both parties.
The player is thought to be preparing to fly to England to discuss any potential deal, with Claude Puel’s side also expressing an interest in signing the defender.
Caceres has been a free agent since leaving Juventus back in the summer of 2016.
The Uruguayan’s time in Turin was littered with injuries but fellow Serie A side, Milan confirmed the player undertook a medical and passed before failing to agree on terms.
Sam Allardyce made it his mission to strength the club’s defence during the January transfer window and signed Patrick van Aanholt from his former side, Sunderland as well as loaning Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool until the end of the season.
