Crystal Palace had planned to go on a warm-weather training trip to Dubai next week but have canceled it as they are worried about how the club’s supporters may react to the players jetting off.
As reported by Adrian Kajumba of The Mirror, Palace were planning to go away during the two week gap between the Stoke City and Middlesbrough games, but those plans have now been shelved after the 4-0 loss to Sunderland.

Sam Allardyce took his Sunderland team on a similar trip last season and the effects seemed to be positive as it gave the manager a place where he could get his players 100% focused, whilst some players said it worked well in terms of the team bonding together too.
However, Palace’s players won’t be jetting off to the Middle East after the Stoke game. Instead, Allardyce will keep his squad in the UK and try to formulate a plan that will keep them clear of relegation.
