Crystal Palace Player Ratings: Manchester City (A)

Crystal Palace’s future as a Premier League side is still not secure after they were hammered 5-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sam Allardyce played Jeffrey Schlupp and Martin Kelly at centre-back and, unsurprisingly, it didn’t work too well!

Palace conceded in the second minute when Kelly’s poor clearance fell to David Silva, who finished well.

Palace got to half-time still at 1-0 and could have been level if not for Willy Caballero’s great save from Christian Benteke’s header.

However, just like the first half, Palace conceded soon after the kick-off for the second period when Vincent Kompany scored with a strike that most forwards would have been pleased with.

City contented to attack and goals from Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, and Nicolas Otamendi condemned the Eagles to a heavy defeat.

A point at home against Hull City next week will be enough to keep Palace up but a loss could see them go into the final week of the season in serious trouble.
