Mamadou Sakho opts to stay at Selhurst Park despite loan end

Mamadou Sakho has decided to continue his recovery from a knee injury at Crystal Palace rather than returning to Merseyside to parent club Liverpool. Sakho suffered a knee ligament injury against Tottenham in April that ended his season earlier than expected.

Sakho suffered a knee ligament injury against Tottenham in April, one that ended his season earlier than expected and the 29-year-old is working with the Palace medical department despite his loan finishing at the end of the season.

Sakho looks set to leave Anfield after a fall out with manager Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool value the French defender at £30million as he was a key reason that the side from Selhurst Park retained Premier League status.

He is now training alongside Papa Souare as the left back continues to recover from a fractured thigh and jaw, injuries he suffered in a car accident.

This is a hint that the Frenchman is very happy with life in London and wants to stay with the Eagles.
