Marseille have Mandanda offer rejected

Marseille have been keen on bringing Steve Mandanda back to France for some time now, but Crystal Palace have reportedly rejected their opening offer.

According to a report from French news outlet RMC Sport, as covered by GFFN, Marseille lodged an offer worth just €1m to re-sign the experienced goalkeeper and, as expected, had their approach rebuffed.

It’s looking likely that Mandanda will leave Palace this summer but it’s also certain that the Eagles will hope to earn as much money from his sale as possible.

It’s claimed that Marseille will lodge yet another offer to sign Mandanda by the end of the week as they look to pursue their ex-goalkeeper immediately, which could bode well for Palace.

The club will want to sort out any business early on and clear out the deadwood as they continue their pursuit to find a new manager.

Mandanda, 32, played just ten times for the Eagles.
