Crystal Palace have reportedly initiated contact with Sporting CP over a potential move for William Carvalho.
According to a report from Portuguese news outlet Record today, as per a report from Sport Witness, the Eagles are the latest top flight club to express an interest in landing the powerful midfielder.
Carvalho has long been linked with a move across the border to the Premier League, but nothing has materialised.
The Portugal international has been consistently impressive over the years for Sporting and could very well be keen to make the move to England this summer.
It’s claimed by Record that Palace have simply contacted the Lions to explore how possible a transfer would be in the ongoing window, with Sporting set to demand a fee of around €30m.
Frank De Boer will be keen to make a statement with his summer signings, and Carvalho would certainly be a good place to start.
The 25-year-old has been linked with Manchester City, West Brom and Arsenal recently.
