Stoke City are looking all but set to pip Crystal Palace to a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer.
According to a report from Sky Sports today, the North London outfit have accepted a bid worth £15m for the Austrian, who is now set to undergo a medical with the Potters.
Palace had been linked with a move for the former Koln defender, who spent the second half of last season on loan at his former club, but it appears as though Stoke have stolen a march on the Eagles.

Wimmer is totally out of favour at Wembley, with Mauricio Pochettino having deemed him surplus to his requirements. The arrival of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax for a club-record fee all but sealed Wimmer’s fate, and the powerful 24-year-old remains keen to play in the Premier League.
The centre-back has been linked to several teams, such as West Brom and Crystal Palace, but it looks as though Stoke are poised to land him next week.
