Crystal Palace are interested in signing Netherlands international Jordy Clasie from Southampton, according to the Southern Daily Echo.
The midfielder has been made available for transfer by Saints, and will be keen to secure a move away from the south coast before the window slams shut tomorrow evening.
Clasie was signed in the summer of 2015 and big things were expected of him at Saints. However, due to a mixture of injury problems and a failure to adapt to the league’s demands, he has found himself out of favour.

Mauricio Pellegrino has a plethora of central midfield options available to him, therefore leading to Clasie being surplus to requirements.
Palace are keen to make a few more additions before the close of the window and with Clasie available, he would certainly be a plausible target for Frank de Boer, if he chooses to pursue his compatriot.
The 26-year-old was signed for a fee of around £8m from Feyenoord, and it’s unlikely that he’d cost much more than that now.
