According to reports from Foot Mercato in France, as covered by GFFN today, Mamadou Sakho is undergoing his medical with Crystal Palace tonight.
The Liverpool defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Palace and impressed on several occasions. He played a huge part in the Eagles’ survival and since then, Palace have been keen to make his spell at Selhurst Park permanent.

It’s stated that the Frenchman will put pen to paper on a five-year contract, and will become Palace’s highest paid player in the club’s history.
Merseyside-based Paul Joyce, who works for the Times, has since confirmed that Sakho is set to join in a deal worth £26m, as the clock continues to tick down on deadline day.

Sakho has been linked with a move away from Anfield for some time now, given his frosty relationship with Jurgen Klopp, and it now looks as though he’s poised to return to Palace if his medical goes to plan.
