Everton striker Oumar Niasse has opened up about his failed move to Crystal Palace in the summer.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow man was all but set to put pen to paper on a deal with the Eagles before the plug was pulled at the closing stages of the window.
Niasse was in line to join Palace alongside Mamadou Sakho but as a result of unforeseen circumstances, the deal fell through.
Since then, Niasse has been reintegrated into the Everton first-team squad following an initial exile from Toffees boss Ronald Koeman. He has been in reasonable form for the side despite their poor start to the season.

Niasse, as quoted by the Croydon Advertiser, was coy when discussing his broken down transfer to Selhurst Park.
It was a difficult day, that night when I went there, to have everything about to sign. Just one hour before the window closed I didn’t sign. They know why, I know why, I’m not going to go deep on that.
I’m feeling thankful and happy to go back to Everton. Now it is a different challenge, we are not in a good position. They are worse but it is going to be a difficult game (on Saturday).
Palace have been made to rue their failure to land Niasse. They sit at the very bottom of the Premier League table and have been forced to manage without a striker in recent times following the injury to Christian Benteke.
Signing a new striker is sure to be near the top of Roy Hodgson’s agenda in January when the window re-opens.
