Speaking to The Mirror, a Palace spokesperson has confirmed that they are proud of their cheerleaders and will not be following suit of Darts and Formula 1.

The other two sports have banned their female ‘walk-on girls’ after protesters claimed that they are ‘out-dated’.

Palace, however, do not feel that way and will now bow down to pressure from outside protests, with the supporters of the club also proud of their tradition.

The cheerleaders perform before and at half-time of Palace matches, raising money for charity in the process.

They are also very popular among the fans, and often pose for pictures outside the ground with fans of their act.

Palace are on course to retain their Premier League status for next season, and it looks as though the famous cheerleaders will be staying in the top-flight too.
