Crystal Palace join the race for Saman Ghoddos

The season may not have ended yet, but the transfer rumours have already started.

According to a report in the Mirror, Crystal Palace are one of many clubs chasing Iranian striker Saman Ghoddos.

The 24-year-old has scored six and assisted six in all competitions in 2018 and impressed in Ostersunds’ last-32 tie against Arsenal in the Europa League last month.

This form has promoted interest from many Premier League clubs with West Ham, Southampton, West Brom and Brighton all reportedly interested in the forward ahead of the new season.

His versatility, being able to play attacking and right midfield, could prove a useful addition to Roy Hodgson’s squad and would certainly bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

Ghoddos was subject to a bid of £5m from Celta Vigo in January, but saw this bid rejected as Ostersunds, who value the player highly, demanded a higher transfer fee for his services.

Could we see Saman Ghoddos in the Premier League next season?
