Crystal Palace eye move for Aleksandar Mitrovic
Crystal Palace are lining up a summer move for Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, according to reports.
The Serbian star failed to earn the trust of Rafa Benitez at Newcastle, despite being somewhat of a fan favourite, and he was allowed to join Fulham on loan for the second half of the season.
He’s subsequently scored 10 goals in 14 games for The Cottagers and has been a driving force behind their push for promotion back to the Premier League.
It looks like Newcastle will be willing to let the 23-year-old leave on a permanent deal in the summer as a number of clubs, including Crystal Palace, have been linked with moves for him.
Palace’s issues in front of goal have been clear for all to see so it makes sense for Roy Hodgson to be looking for reinforcements and Mitrovic certainly fits the bill in terms of the profile of striker that Hodgson seemingly prefers.
