Spurs want Wilfried Zaha to move to North London

Tottenham are ready to beat Manchester City to the signing of Wilfried Zaha this summer, reports the Telegraph.

Zaha is of main interest to Manchester City but Spurs want to rival that in trying to tempt the Ivorian international away from Selhurst Park.

The 25-year-old is the star man at Palace, his nine goals this season are the best return of his Premier League career.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed either, he won the April player of the month award after four goals which sealed safety for the South London club.

Spurs are looking to improve their squad to fight on the league front as well as in the Champions League next season, and Zaha could be the missing piece for them. His trickery down the left would allow Son Heung-Min to be a permanent player up top.

The Eagles would struggle to live without Zaha right now, they didn’t pick up a single point without him this season so any offer would have to be remarkable.

Roy Hodgson is rumoured to be looking for a fee of around £50 million, to allow Palace to reinforce their squad with more talent.

matchday.
