Christian Benteke’s agent Eris Kismet claims that Turkish side Besiktas have made a bid for his player.
Benteke’s agent has also claimed that Crystal Palace are willing to sell his client but only if they can get at least €20m for the striker, whose contract runs until 2020.
Speaking to Fanatik, as cited by Turkish-Football, Kismet admitted that there had been interest from Turkish club Besiktas, and that an apparent bid had been made. He did go on, however, to say that he believes that they wouldn’t be able to afford him.
“I know Besiktas are interested in Benteke,”
“I know Fikret Orman in person, he’s a great guy and he has told me he is interested in Benteke.”
“But his price may be out of range.”
“What I can say is that Crystal Palace won’t sell him for under €20 million.”
Kismet went on to say that the only way Benteke would leave Palace to join Besiktas would be via a loan deal.
It was only reported last week that Palace were prepared sell the striker, meaning even more question marks have been raised over his future at Selhurst Park.
