Crystal Palace have held talks with the representatives of Alban Lafont to discuss a summer move to the Premier League.
According to L’Equipe, as cited on Get French Football News, nothing was concrete, but Palace remain keen on the promising young French shot-stopper.
The reports coming out of France suggest that Toulouse are now in the market for a replacement goalkeeper, which could spark Lafont’s exit from the club.
Baptiste Reynet is closing in on a move to Toulouse from Dijon, according to the report.
Palace face European competition for the player’s signature, with PSV and Fiorentina making enquiries about the player recently.
It is yet to be seen whether Palace view the player as someone who could step directly into the first-team squad or head out on loan to continue his development.
The Eagles will be hoping that should Lafont complete a move to Selhurst Park, his time there will be better than Steve Mandanda’s who returned to Marseille just months after signing.
