Crystal Palace defeated Halmstad in convincing fashion as they stepped up their pre-season preparations, but have been left with a potential injury blow.
It was a straightforward encounter for Roy Hodgson’s men as they took on the Swedish side, with a comprehensive 6-1 win under the Eagles’ belts as they continue to prepare for the 2018/19 campaign.
However, one downside of the clash with Halmstad was an injury concern, with club-record signing Christian Benteke having been forced off with a knock, as per a report from the Evening Standard.

Benteke netted his side’s opening goal in the win but saw his match brought to a premature end soon after, with the forward appearing to struggle with an injury to the ankle.
Crystal Palace are already short on striking options as it is, so they will certainly be sweating over the condition of Belgian international Benteke.
The forward endured a difficult season last term and will be desperate to develop consistency this time around to prove his worth at Selhurst Park.
