Crystal Palace have reportedly been joined by Lazio in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund attacker Andre Schurrle.
The Eagles have been heavily linked with a move for the German forward, who looks all but set to secure a move away from the Bundesliga in this transfer window.
Schurrle has been granted permission to depart the US to stage negotiations with potential suitors in Europe regarding a move, with Dortmund looking to trim their squad.
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is reportedly a target for Dortmund but it seems the Eagles want to keep their talisman and also recruit Schurrle, with Roy Hodgson keen to bolster his side’s attacking prowess.
Palace won’t be alone in their bid to land Schurrle, however. The Daily Mail today claim that Serie A giants Lazio are in the race for the player, with the Italian side out to replace Felipe Anderson.
The race for Schurrle’s signature appears to be heating up, and the Eagles will surely need to move quickly if they are to land the German.
