Palace in talks to sign Kouyate

Crystal Palace are in talks to sign West Ham midfielder Cheikou Kouyate this summer.

According to Sky Sports, talks are underway over a deal for the powerful midfielder.

The report claims that Kouyate is valued at £10m, with Palace keen on getting a deal done.

Roy Hodgson is looking to add some steel to his midfield and sees Kouyate as the ideal man to come in.

The 28-year-old has made over 100 Premier League appearances for West Ham since he joined the club in 2014, scoring 12 goals.

He is able to play in central midfield, or as a central defender, showing versatility in his game. Kouyate has also been capped 42 times by Senegal at international level, and competed in the World Cup for his country in Russia this summer.
