Burnley join Palace in the race to sign Yannick Bolasie

Burnley have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Yannick Bolasie from Everton, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.

The Toffees are hoping to offload Bolasie in the final days of the transfer window, as they prepare to make room for the arrival of Bernard on a free transfer.

Bolasie is understood to not be in Marco Silva’s plans for the upcoming season, with Richarlison, Theo Walcott and Bernard soon to be ahead of the DR Congo international in the pecking order.

Palace are understood to have expressed an interest in re-signing the 29-year-old but according to fresh claims from the Mirror, Burnley have lodged an enquiry regarding a potential loan deal for the player.

Bolasie is reportedly valued by Everton at £15 million, however, a loan move has previously been discussed this summer, with Fenerbahce having been keen.

A move to Burnley could be of more interest to Bolasie than that of a switch to Palace, with the chance of Europa League football on offer, but the player’s familiarity with Eagles could see him choose to move back to Selhurst Park.
