Jordan Ayew agrees loan move to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew on a season-long loan, according to Ed Malyon of The Independent.
Palace wanted to sign the Ghanaian on a permanent deal, but Jairo Riedewald’s refusal to join the Swans as part of a swap meant that the Eagles were forced to take Ayew on loan, for now.
The 26-year-old only joined Swansea in 2017 in a deal which saw Neil Taylor move to Aston Villa. In his time at the Liberty Stadium, Ayew scored 12 goals in 58 games but he was unable to prevent his side from being relegated last season.
His desire to remain in the Premier League was strong, hence why he pushed for the move to Palace.
The Ghanaian is expected to be announced as a Palace player in the next few hours and he’ll find himself playing with Wilfried Zaha as the Eagles have confirmed that he won’t be leaving this summer,
