Following Crystal Palace’s impressive 2-0 victory against Fulham on Saturday afternoon, Roy Hodgson reserved plenty of praise for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The young right-back was afforded the opportunity to impress in the Eagles’ starting line-up once more and failed to disappoint, as he turned in yet another cultured display.
Palace enjoyed a comfortable afternoon across London as goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha secured them a more than satisfying opening day victory.
It was Wan-Bissaka, though, who took plenty of the plaudits as he continued to establish himself as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents.

Speaking to Palace’s official club website following his side’s win at Craven Cottage, Hodgson heaped the praise on his young right-back.
I thought he was absolutely excellent, both defensively and offensively. You only hope he’ll go from strength to strength – it is only his eighth game in the Premier League.
He played on the opening game of the season, in a fantastic atmosphere against a team who have just come up and against Sessegnon who has had a wonderful season and is a bit of a flyer, so to do what he did today he will sleep well. If you’re going to give him a few pats on the back, I am more than happy to add my voice to the praise.
Palace will be hoping to continue in a similar vein of form when they return to Selhurst Park in their next fixture, as they welcome a confident Liverpool side to South London.
