Crystal Palace will be looking to make it two wins from two as they welcome Liverpool to Selhurst Park on Monday night.
The Eagles head into the game in good spirits after winning their opening fixture of the Premier League season. Roy Hodgson’s men travelled to Fulham and won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha.
Liverpool, though, will also be full of confidence. They opened their league campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win over a lacklustre West Ham side. Sadio Mane netted twice, with Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge also netting.
It’s set to be an intriguing night under the lights at Selhurst Park. Here’s how we think Palace will line up against Liverpool.
Wayne Hennessey
Hennessey had a good game against Fulham and is likely to get the nod ahead of Vicente Guaita.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wan-Bissaka was excellent against Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and will be dealt with the task of coping with Liverpool star Sadio Mane.
James Tomkins
Tomkins is set to start in central defence for the Eagles.
Mamadou Sakho
Sakho looks set to continue in central defence alongside Tomkins.
Patrick van Aanholt
Van Aanholt is unlikely to be displaced from his role at left-back.
Andros Townsend
At right midfield, Townsend is likely to continue in front of Wan-Bissaka.
Luka Milivojevic
Milivojevic is set to start in central midfield and captain the team, as per usual.
James McArthur
Alongside the Eagles’ captain, McArthur is likely to continue in central midfield.
Jeffrey Schlupp
Fresh from an impressive display at Fulham, Schlupp is set to provide mobility and work rate down the left for Palace.
Wilfried Zaha
Zaha will look to wreak havoc in the Liverpool defence from a central role.
Christian Benteke
Completing the line-up, Benteke is set to spearhead the attack.
