Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann will not be making a return to first-team action in September.
Dann has been out with a serious knee injury since New Year’s Eve last year, where he was stretchered off against Manchester City.
The 31-year-old is beginning to return to full training with Palace but Roy Hodgson says that he is not expected to be back in the first-team fold until October.
Speaking to The Examiner, Hodgson said this:
He’s not very close. He won’t be playing in the under 23 games in the coming week.

Scott is making excellent progress, but it was a serious injury and he is not due to be back before the end of September, the start of October.
James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho have been Hodgson’s preferred centre-back partnership, with both impressing at the heart of the defence.
Martin Kelly has also filled in at centre-back when needed, as he did against Southampton last week.
Palace face Huddersfield Town away from home after the international break, with Dann firmly ruled out.
