Crystal Palace are keen to hold fresh contract talks with Andros Townsend in the near future, according to reports.
It’s claimed by the Sunday People, as cited by Sky Sports, that the Eagles are looking to tie Townsend down to a new and improved contract to reward him for his displays in recent times.
Townsend has established himself as an important part of Roy Hodgson’s plans at Selhurst Park and it’s claimed now that Palace want to reaffirm his importance by handing him a new deal.

The winger’s current contract in South London doesn’t reach its expiration date until the summer of 2021. However, it’s believed that the Eagles are ready to improve his financial package to put him among the club’s highest earners.
Townsend was courted by Newcastle United in the summer transfer window as they looked to re-sign their former star.
However, Palace were quick to rebuff the Magpies’ advances to sign Townsend, with the player continuing to emerge as a pivotal part of the club’s plans for the future.
