Crystal Palace are ready to back manager Roy Hodgson in January and sign a new striker.
According to The Daily Mail, Hodgson is keen to add more goals to his side and will be given significant funds by the club.
Palace sit 16th in the Premier League after nine games and have only scored five goals so far, the second lowest in the division.
Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa has been heavily linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent weeks.
Palace are reportedly in talks with his agent as they look to secure a loan deal for the striker.
He is currently on loan to Santos in Brazil, where he has been in prolific form – with 25 goals this season.
Inter are open to letting him leave on loan, while it remains to be seen whether Palace can strike a deal in the coming transfer window.
