In this week’s e-Crystal Palace Podcast, I review the game against Chelsea by giving you my match review, player ratings as well as my Man of the Match.
Despite many positives, Palace still fell to their fourth defeat in their last five games. Roy Hodgson’s men began well and nullified all Chelsea’s threats, however, it wasn’t enough to stop Alvaro Morata from netting the first goal before Andros Townsend got the equalised just after half-time.
It took the substitution of Eden Hazard to fully get Chelsea to move through the gears, and consequently, Morata scored his second, closely followed by a Pedro strike to the game to bed.
Why has our defending from set-pieces got so bad?
Does the packed-out four-man midfield work?
Why do we still seem to have no quality in the final third (excluding Townsend’s well-taken goal)?
All this and more in this week’s e-Crystal Palace Podcast.
