Brentford may well feel that they are in a better position to offer the player first-team football, something that could boost their chances of completing a deal ahead of Palace.

Yearwood has come through the ranks at Southend and made his professional debut back in 2017.

At 18 years of age, Yearwood is highly rated at Southend and is likely to attract a wealth of interest in January.

It is yet to be seen if Palace would consider him a first-team player or loan him back to Southend in order to get regular football under his belt.
